The main organization behind the malicious smear campaign, fraudulently using phrase “net neutrality” is Free Press, a revolutionary Marxist group. Robert W. McChesney, a founder of Free Press, sounds like Lenin. From his 2014 article Sharp Left Turn for the Media Reform Movement (emphasis is mine):
“In subsequent years the U.S. media reform movement blossomed, led primarily by a group I co-founded, Free Press. On a number of major issues … Free Press led the charge in Washington, DC. The thinking behind the group and the movement was to have one foot in the battles of the day as they were being fought in the capital, while having another foot doing organizing in the field, with the idea of expanding popular awareness and involvement in the movement. We realized that for most people the range of media policy outcomes then countenanced in Washington seemed abstract or inconsequential. We needed to capture their imagination with bold and radical proposals. The strategy was to create an army for structural media reform …”

Hiring a lukewarmer Bret Stephens by The NY Times to cover the climate debate is too little, too late. But he referred to an article by Andrew Revkin who had been a regular NYT climate alarmist. In this article My Climate Change, published in a small website issues.org more than a year ago, Revkin admitted to the alarmism, organized pressure, and more.
The main quotes:
“I saw a widening gap between what scientists had been learning about global warming and what advocates were claiming as they pushed ever harder to pass climate legislation or strengthen the faltering 1992 climate change treaty.”
“In 2006, I was part of a team of reporters at The Times that undertook a multi-year series called “The Energy Challenge” (nytimes.com/energychallenge), examining what it would take to deeply cut reliance on coal, oil, and gas, and move to climate-friendly technologies. The deeper we dug, the more we ran into enormous disconnects between the data and the claims. It was very clear that any transition to clean energy would be neither simple nor quick—and it wasn’t only for lack of political will.”
In the article, Revkin did not apologize and did not stop blaming the “fossil fuels” but revealed more about the corruption of journalism. Continue reading Andrew Revkin of NYT Admitted Alarmism
A new letter (1) from putative scientists calling for the persecution of climate dissenters is posted (2) by the Union of Concerned Scientists, and is addressed to the NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. The letter is titled “Pursue ExxonMobil Investigation to the Fullest Extent of the Law,” but the word “investigation” in it stands for “punishment,” as seen from the following quote:
“We encourage you to pursue your investigation to the fullest extent of the law in order to uncover any past wrongdoing and deter future misconduct.“
The morons who organized the “March for Science” listed the ‘United States’ and ‘USA’ as two different countries on their website:
They also put the United States at the end of the list, but we are used to that. Of course, Bill Nye the Clown will participate, although he won’t be leading the march. Expect fawning coverage by the fakestream media.
Update (2017-04-21 7am): they removed USA and added Vietnam below the United States in the list of countries. Still morons. I especially recommend the viewing of the list of their shameless partners.
Update (2017-04-23 8am): the fawning coverage by the fakestream media was as predicted: NY Times (plenty of photos), Washington Post, CBS News, The Atlantic etc.
After I read this interview with Jeremy Grantham, I understood why so many hedge fund managers have believed the claim that climate realists (“skeptics”) are liars paid off by fossil fuel industries. This is called projection. Continue reading What False Accusations might Tell about the Accuser
Website medsocietiesforclimatehealth.org, owned by a previously unknown group called the Medical Society Consortium on Climate & Health (“MedSocCon”), published a number of irresponsible and misinforming posters, statements, “reports,” and other materials. These materials teach doctors that certain illnesses are caused or aggravated by “climate change” and/or “global warming,” which are, according to the same materials, caused by combustion of fossil fuels. Posters and talking points for communication with patients tell the patients to “vote for elected leaders that will act to cut climate pollution.” These materials also instruct doctors to give wrong advice to their patients, both adults and children. For example, a poster for children speaks directly to kids (over the heads of their parents) and tells them to bike to school. Dangers and high fatality rates of biking compared with driving are ignored. A “Heart Health” poster advises heart patients to replace their car trips with biking and walking. “The FTC’s complaint alleges that OMICS Group, Inc., along with two affiliated companies and their president and director, Srinubabu Gedela, claim that their journals follow rigorous peer-review practices and have editorial boards made up of prominent academics. In reality, many articles are published with little to no peer review and numerous individuals represented to be editors have not agreed to be affiliated with the journals.” – from its press release on August 26, 2016.
These alleged crimes of OMICS Group sound very much like actions of IPCC and the Cambridge University Press, publishing IPCC reports. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, isn’t it?
01/24/2017: Correction to the CAG at War with the USA essay: the first batch of the incriminating CRU emails was released in 2009. Climategate 2.0 was the release of the second batch in 2011. The enemies of America became emboldened after Obama re-election in 2012. The Climate Alarmism Governance started its undeclared war at some time in 2010-2013. End of Correction.
An example of the centralized propagation of the Climate Alarmism Governance (CAG) resolutions is an article, published on MediaMatters, December 31, 2015: Continue reading CAG, CAN, MediaMatters, UCS
This is the best description of the climatist “science”! Said by James Hansen about his own model in early 1990’s, according to McKibben:
NASA’s James Hansen, who had already done more than anyone else to warn the world about the greenhouse effect, made the gutsiest call, issuing a precise prediction for how the planet’s temperature would shift, month by month, in the next three years. At first he seemed to have missed, and greenhouse skeptics jumped all over the early results, using them to call the whole theory into question. But at a memorable scientific meeting in Hawaii, Hansen stood up and said, “I believe this is one case where the model is right and the world is wrong.”

Although there are enough fools who believe climate alarmists and other Leftist agitators, the latter resort to paying people to participate in demonstrations, and even purchase services of firms, specializing in “organizing civil disobedience.” From McKibben, Oil and Honey: The Education of an Unlikely Activist (referring to events of 2011):
“Our advance team had been on the ground in Washington for three weeks. It turns out that in a market society there are people equipped to fill every need, including organizing civil disobedience. The crew we’d found, and who would soon become close colleagues, was headed by Matt Leonard.”
“Matt kept saying that we’d be fine with five or ten arrestees a day over our two-week protest; even as the number of people signing up kept mounting, he cautioned that many would melt away. The D.C. police must have felt the same way, because it was next to impossible to get their attention— our team was bounced from one sergeant to another, and none seemed to take the whole thing very seriously. I began to worry they’d just let us sit there, that we wouldn’t get arrested at all.”
If you learned about these arrests from putative news reports and these details were omitted – Continue reading Climatism International files: Bill McKibben, part I
Do you still believe that climate alarmism is a grassroots movement? Do you still believe it is based on science, possibly exaggerated or misunderstood science? No, it is a centralized command & control structure with aspirations to become a “global governance” (they shy away from the phrase “global government”.) Read what they say, and think again.
*** James Gustave Speth [Chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality in the Executive Office of the President, 1979-1981], Peter Haas. 2013. Global Environmental Governance: Foundations of Contemporary Environmental Studies:
The challenge of the global environment is fundamentally one of effective governance—global environmental governance.
Global environmental governance is the intersection of global governance with environmental affairs.

Few days ago, the left-stream media and Obama have raised a ruckus about “fake news,” which they blamed for their election loss. The ruckus boils down to two allegations: a) conservatives produce fake news, and b) conservatives tend to believe fake news. But a closer look proves both allegations wrong. Instead, misinformation is shown to be the province of the Left, and nearly indispensable part of a modern liberal education.
The ruckus started with an NPR article, We Tracked Down a Fake-News Creator In The Suburbs. Here’s What We Learned. NPR interviewed the founder and owner of an official fake news media company Disinfomedia, Jestin Coler. Coler is a journalist, political science major, and a self-professed liberal. He lives in a suburb of Los Angeles. “My educational background is in political science. I’ve always enjoyed the ideas of propaganda and misinformation,” Coler said. The heading of this post is taken from an email, sent by one Deputy Attorney General to another one in connection with the so-called “ExxonKnew” witch-hunt, but it is the key to understanding how the climate alarmism grew to its current size and power. Various individuals and organizations took part in some alarmist activities carelessly or under a false impression, then found themselves stuck, and decided to ride it. Unfortunately, they did not give thought to who was driving and where the ride would take them. A hint: to a very bad place. Anybody who still can will be better by getting off immediately, whatever the cost is. The cost will only grow with time. Continue reading “we … locked in on this and have to ride it through”
Climate Alarmism can be compared to the HIV virus. After entering a society, it attacks the main defense of the society against itself and similar threats – the scientific enterprise. After the scientific enterprise was weakened enough, the society becomes defenseless against any pathogenic agenda, alleging scientific justification. Climate Alarmism brings with it a number of such agendas, from shutting down the national energy infrastructure to banning free speech to submitting to the UN. America became infected in 1992 through Al Gore and Timothy Wirth.
The World Wildlife Fund, having annual income around $800M, is one of the main culprits. Continue reading Climate Alarmism is like a Deadly Virus
“Earth Is Tipping Because Of Climate Change,“ according to a headline in ScAm (the Scientific American). This headline indicates the abyss of ignorance into which the editors and the readers of this formerly respectable journal have fallen, after a quarter century of promoting the alarmist pseudo-science. Something in the article Why not a war on global warming? in The Globe and Mail has attracted my attention. It was not the idiotic title (which received an excellent retort in the comments: “How about a war on Plate Tectonics?”). It was the article author’s retelling of the words of Carter Roberts, head of the World Wildlife Fund: Continue reading Is WWF preparing to jettison Climatism?
