Remember the Lawfare/Brookings article “What Does the US Government Know About Russia and the DNC Hack?”, imploring Comey to intervene in the 2016 election again? He read and “apparently” forwarded it to his accomplice Rybicki via his private email (possibly both utilizing private emails). From the NY Post James Comey discussed sensitive FBI business on his private email (Nov 2018):
On July 25, 2016, Comey apparently emailed Rybicki a link to a Lawfare article that asked what does the US government know about Russia and the DNC hack.“I suspect there will be more of these kinds of stories,” Comey wrote.
As “predicted” (more likely, coordinated with Comey’s Lawfare/Brookings accomplices; see below), within a few days, even more of these kinds of stories came up. Lawfare blog, in particular, published Is Trump a Russian Agent? A Legal Analysis on July 27, 2016. The article insinuated that Trump was a Russian agent by referring to other media enablers of Spygate – Franklin Foer, Anne Applebaum, Paul Krugman, Josh Marshall – calling these corrupt hacks “a remarkable lineup of intellectual firepower”. The FBI officially opened an investigation against the Trump campaign just four days later.
There is more to the email from Comey to Rybicki than simply the improper use of private email in the FBI business. The email might have been hinting to the DNC and/or Lawfare group on what kind of media support Comey needed for more aggressive actions against Trump. Indeed, James Baker, FBI General Counsel under Comey and the point man in the Alfa bank hoax, joined or wrote for Lawfare/Brookings after departure from the FBI. James Rybicki, FBI Chief of Staff under Comey, was the communication hub in the Hillary exoneration operation. It is logical to think that he was also the communication hub for the FBI-DNC part of Spygate. All that suggests that Comey was actively conspiring with the DNC-Lawfare-Brookings, rather than passively acting under their corrupt influence. Baker and Rybicki remained the closest Comey accomplices after Trump’s inauguration.
By the way, was James Comey one of undercover cadre? After he was a Communist sympathizer in 1970’s, he self-registered and pretended to be a Republican for “most of his life”. But after being booted from the FBI, he called to vote Democrat. A few months ago, he also outed himself as a radical by donating (together with his wife) $5,400 to Amy Klobuchar, a presidential candidate from Democratic party affiliate, the Democrat-Farmers-Labor party of Minnesota. The 10x increase in the deaths from synthetic opioids has happened entirely on his watch as the FBI director, from ~3,000 in 2013 to ~30,000 in 2017. Comey was essentially “running a covert operation against” the president, starting with a private “defensive briefing” he gave Trump just weeks before his inauguration … Comey’s meeting with Trump took place one day after the FBI director met in the Oval Office with President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden to discuss how to brief Trump — a meeting attended by National Security Adviser Susan Rice, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and National Intelligence Director James Clapper, who would soon go to work for CNN.
Comey limited his briefing to the lurid rumor about prostitutes in a Moscow hotel, while omitting the fact that he had signed a wiretap warrant to eavesdrop on one of Trump’s campaign advisers based on other parts of the dossier. Comey also failed to tell the president-elect that Flynn was under investigation along with Carter Page. In other words, Comey left the president in the dark on the most substantive assertions of the dossier.
[In Feb 2017] Comey later huddled with his deputies … setting off discussions about opening an inquiry into whether Trump had tried to obstruct the Flynn case. His general counsel James Baker, Chief of Staff Jim Rybicki and Associate Deputy Director David Bowdich were also in the room, along with the heads of the FBI’s national security and counterintelligence units, according to congressional records.

Comey says that after Trump asked him to “lift the cloud” over his presidency, while still encouraging Comey to go after any “satellite” associates of his if they had done something wrong, the director reported the request to then-acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente.
