Steele dossier floated in three versions

At least three versions of the “Steele dossier” were floating around Washington just before the elections:

  • what the FBI was receiving directly from Steele — a liar, a charlatan, and a contractor with Fusion GPS working for the DNC
  • a version introduced by Nellie (Fusion GPS) and Bruce Ohr (DOJ) to the FBI
  • a version that James A. Baker accepted from Mother Jones’ journalist David Corn

From the interview of James A. Baker (FBI General Counsel) before a House Committee: Continue reading Steele dossier floated in three versions

From Doctors for Disasters Preparedness

The Doctors for Disasters Preparedness (DDP) is known for the initiative known as the Oregon Petition. DDP latest press release Scientists Petition American Museum of Natural History to Stand against ‘Climate-Change’ Agitators says:

“More than 300 scientists have sent a letter and background information to the president of the American Museum of Natural History in response to demands to remove Rebekah Mercer, a generous donor, from the Board of Trustees, reports Physicians for Civil Defense.”

“Signers of the letter include two Nobel laureates, Ivar Giaever (physics, 1973) and Kary Mullis (chemistry, 1993), and many other esteemed, highly accomplished scientists, notes Dr. Orient. “The American Museum of Natural History should not tarnish its long and honorable tradition by allowing political pressure and street theater to dictate its policy.” Continue reading From Doctors for Disasters Preparedness

Letter on Commission on Climate Security

Dear President Trump,

The undersigned organizations and individuals write to express our strong support for the proposed President’s Commission on Climate Security. It is our understanding that this commission, which is being planned and would be directed by Dr. William Happer of the National Security Council staff, is currently being considered by your senior White House staff and relevant Cabinet secretaries and agency heads. …” — begins the Open Letter in support of Dr. Happer and the Commission on Climate Security, signed by dozens of freedom loving think tanks and distinguished scientists and published on March 18.

Karim Baratov and cyber incidents misattribution

This case of Karim Baratov is another refutation of the conspiracy theory of cyber incident attribution. This theory lamps together multiple network security breaches, performed by many unrelated individuals or small groups. Then it attributes these breaches to a small number of alleged government backed hacker groups. This theory was introduced by CrowdStrike, and promoted by CrowdStrike and FireEye (FEYE). One of apparently decent attribution criterias is use of the same network infrastructure — domain names and/or IP addresses — in multiple breaches. But even this criteria doesn’t work, because cyber criminals specialize and divide labor vertically. Spear-phishing incidents using the same deceptive domain and/or IP address are not necessarily connected to a single beneficiary entity. An owner of the domain name can steal passwords from many victims for many unrelated clients, knowing nothing about the clients, like this case.  Continue reading Karim Baratov and cyber incidents misattribution

Hillary Clinton does not know how to use a computer

“Garrett Graff: Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016, does not know how to use a desktop computer, according to multiple sources interviewed by the FBI.” an interview on This American Life (Nov 4, 2016)

Garrett Graff is an ordinary Hillary supporter and Trump hater (1, 2). He was a 2016 Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor of Vermont and a Politico editor.

Garrett Graff: But when we actually read through these documents, you can almost come away with a sense that that is actually why they did it, that Hillary seems to actually be a very persnickety technology user. She is not very comfortable with most technology, only liked to use a BlackBerry and, more specifically, only liked to use a specific type of increasingly older and more out-of-date BlackBerry.

She doesn’t know how to use a desktop computer. She–

Sean Cole: Wait, wait, wait. Back up. Back up. She doesn’t know how to use a desktop computer.

Garrett Graff: Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016, does not know how to use a desktop computer, according to multiple sources interviewed by the FBI.

Sean Cole: How is that possible?

Garrett Graff: The short answer is, I don’t know.” Continue reading Hillary Clinton does not know how to use a computer

DNC-2016: Total Ignorance of Computer Security

The Democratic Party is the party of obscurantism. But the following example of cyber-security ignorance is hilarious (WikiLeaks, http://archive.is/K3153):

“From: Palermo, Rachel
Sent: Friday, April 29, 2016 2:07 PM
To: Regional Press
Subject: Factivists was hacked. Here is our new password
Importance: High

We have been compromised! But it's all ok.

Here is our new password: HHQTevgHQ@z&8b6

It will now change every few weeks so prevent future issues. So as it is re-set, I will forward it along.”

This short fragment shows ignorance of basic computer security rules:

  1. Every user must have a separate account and password.
  2. Passwords are never emailed.
  3. If one decides to violate rules 1 and 2, at least don’t email the password to a list!

It is likely they were hacked many times in 2016, and most of these hacks were detected.

Skolkovo: Mueller, Hillary, and the Masters of the Universe – OMG!

Remember how Hillary supported Skolkovo, the technological espionage project of Russia? From the Skolkovo project website:

The innovative development of nuclear technologies is an essential condition for consolidating (and in some areas, achieving) a position of global technological leadership and maintaining Russia’s defense capability.”

“Developing the space sector … boosting living standards while helping to ensure national security …” (March 2015 – 1, 2; also 3, 4)

That brings to mind the Uranium One, but this is another topic. Intel and Facebook heavily contributed to Skolkovo when Robert Mueller was their attorney (see his disclosure ). Intel and Microsoft were Skolkovo Foundation Partners. Google‘s Chairman Eric Schmidt became Skolkovo board member.

Google  and Facebook aided the Russian Federation with development of facial recognition and computer vision systems having military and intelligence applications, and might have even tested these systems on the Americans. The results are quite impressive. See VisionLabs. Twitter was there, too. Continue reading Skolkovo: Mueller, Hillary, and the Masters of the Universe – OMG!
