Not so Deep Roots of “Deep State”

McCarthy, Andrew C. How the Obama Administration has Politicized Justice: Reflections on Politics, Liberty, and the State. (2010)

This very short book shows that Obama administration subverted and politicized the DOJ and the intelligence community from its first days. Obama filled the top ranks of the DOJ with what usually restrained Andrew McCarthy calls al Qaeda Defense Bar, and investigated the CIA, FBI, and DOJ officials who fought the war on terror. The book was released in 2010 based on less than a year of the Obama administration. No doubt, it became worse toward the end. This is what Donald Trump has been facing. Throughout the interview, the emails leaked from the Clinton’s illegal basement server were conflated with the emails leaked from the DNC and/or Podesta.

The Enterprise behind the Steele Dossier

2019-10-30 update: Alexander Vindman, the clueless NSC staffer who gave HPSCI a statement, obviously written by someone else, reported to Dr. Fiona Hill, Steele collaborator! Dr. Fiona Hill:

Comey in Russian Collusion?

On April 1, 2017, the Bureau of Prisons (DOJ) transferred convicted and incarcerated Russian spy Evgeniy Buryakov to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS), which released him to Russia within a few days. He was released 4 months earlier than scheduled.

That happened when James Comey was the FBI Director, supposedly investigating Russian activities. An early release of a convicted Russian spy while investigating Russian activities doesn’t make sense. But it makes perfect sense, if Comey used investigation of alleged Russian activities as a pretext in the coup attempts.

Buryakov was apprehended and convicted with the assistance of a former naval officer Carter Page. After Buryakov was released, the DOJ doubled down on its persecution of Carter Page. On March 30, it became known that Buryakov was scheduled for an early release on April 1, and a journalist sent FOIA to the Bureau of Prisons . Continue reading Comey in Russian Collusion?
