A Washington Post reporter explained why he had written fake news in The Washington Post: he had just repeated a fake news from CNN! Then he went on about how influential his article was: “And the instant news cycle got to work. My article was plastered across Google News. … Where I had cited CNN, other news outlets cited me.”
In the end, the reporter refused to apologize to anybody but one reader on Twitter. Fake-stream media ain’t apologize to nobody!
CNN, on its part, did place a “correction note” in the article: “A similar banner was hung in another Polish city in 2015, according to local reports, but not at Saturday’s march [a large march on 11/11/2017 in Warshaw]”. Unnecessary to say, most people who had read the article did not see this correction note.
