Oregon Petition: All Signatures were Verified. “Fact Checkers” Lie and Project

The Oregon Petition against climate alarmism has been signed by 31,000+ scientists and experts in the natural sciences, including more than 9,000 PhD holders, and all signatures have been verified (possibly with a couple of errors).  Spicy allegations about petition distribution, signing, and the verification procedures spread by the enviros, leftists, Google, and the former mainstream media, are false. The following email from Dr. Art Robinson is published here with his permission.

Almost all of the signatures were collected in a period of two months in 1998 and again in 2007. All communication was by First Class mail to the potential signers. They signed the petition card, wrote in their credentials, and returned the card by first class mail – their stamp.

Freeman Dyson on the Soil as a Carbon Sink

Renowned physicist and mathematician Professor Freeman Dyson is a liberal. Nevertheless, he rejects climate alarmism and alleged “scientific consensus” that increase in the air CO2 concentration from burning fossil fuels and other human activities is harmful, or causes dangerous global warming.  But he has found and published a solution to this non-problem about ten years ago.  The solution is accumulating extra CO2 in the top soil.  Those who considered increase of CO2 in the atmosphere to be a problem had plenty of time to discuss, test, and start implementing his proposal. See Edge.org, August 9, 2007 (9,800 words). Continue reading Freeman Dyson on the Soil as a Carbon Sink

Google CEO Sundar Pichai Says Right Things

Google CEO Sundar Pichai: “I recognise that, in the Valley, people are obsessed with the pace of technological change… it’s tough to get that part right… We rush sometimes, and can misfire for an average person. As humans, I don’t know whether we want change that fast – I don’t think we do.

Wise words, especially said in the context of the AI discussion. From an interview to The Guardian, October 2017 (https://archive.is/yEh1n).  The Guardian is not worthy attention from such men.

Not News: Google has Abused its Monopoly Again

Google has discontinued its Custom Search Engine (CSE) product.  For a fee, Google CSE allowed its customers to query a degraded version of the Google search index. That enticed potential competitors to rely on Google CSE rather than building full search engines with their own indexing capacity.  Now Google is shutting them down by pulling out CSE.  I am not sure that it’s legal for a monopolist to handle its potential competitors in this manner.

I used Google CSE in the Sane Climate Search and Google shut me off a few days ago.  The Sane Climate Search is out.  I did receive a notice more than a year ago.

DNC Hacking and “cisgender straight white males”

Updated on Apr-28-2018

The Democratic National Committee has multiple open vacancies in the tech department  including IT Systems Administrator, Product Manager, and Chief Security Officer.  Madeleine Leader, the DNC Data Services Manager, sends an email to employees asking for help filling in those vacancies – “feel free to forward on to your contacts.”  Then comes a hummer: “I personally would prefer that you not forward to cisgender straight white males, as they are already in the majority.Continue reading DNC Hacking and “cisgender straight white males”

Canadian Government Investigates ‘Climate Denial’ (Toronto Sun, 2017-09-13):

The complaint was filed by Ecojustice on behalf of six “prominent” Canadians, including former Ontario NDP leader and UN ambassador Stephen Lewis. It accused three groups, Friends of Science, the International Climate Science Coalition, and the Heartland Institute of making false and misleading claims about climate change, including that the sun is the main driver of climate change, not carbon dioxide, and that carbon dioxide is not a pollutant.
