There were many effective treatments & prophylaxis for COVID-19; some were known from the beginning of the pandemic (HCQ, convalescent plasma), others appeared later (IVM, monoclonal antibodies, Regeneron cocktail, and more). All of them have been rejected by the self-proclaimed C19 Treatment Guidelines Panel, propped-up by Big Tech and MSM. They even went as far as effectively banning the use of any of these prophylaxis and treatments, intimidating hospitals into not using them, and deplatforming practicing doctors, who were using and advocating for such therapies.
Democrat leaders did nothing to protect the elderly and other most vulnerable populations (or even endangered them further, like Cuomo in NY). At the same time, many Democrat state governors ordered repressive shutdowns and lockdowns, which prevented immunity acquisition in the summer. Mass lockdowns were enforced mostly through Big Tech’s services, while allowing Antifa to riot and spread COVID-19, free of restrictions.
Big Tech and Democrat party leadership mutually benefited from shutdowns, lockdowns, and other social isolation measures. Diminished in-person communication led to more use of online communication tools (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, Zoom etc.) That meant higher profits for Big Tech, while simultaneously expanding their ability to control speech, narratives, and the flow of information. Big Tech had already politically merged with the Democrat party, as seen from Big Tech donations patterns, their hiring of Democrat party staffers to “combat misinformation”, and the public statements from their executives.
